Stepping Stone Medical and Psychiatry is a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Protected health information you share with us during evaluation, treatment and billing is kept confidential and used only for treatment, payment and health care operations, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

Information we collect on this website

When you submit our contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number and message you provide, so we can respond to your request. We may also collect standard technical information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, to keep the site secure and improve its usefulness. We do not sell your information.

Please do not include detailed medical information in website messages or email. Email and web forms are not secure channels for protected health information. Use the patient portal or call 513-342-0853 for clinical matters.

Your rights

You have the right to inspect and request a copy of your medical record, request an amendment, request an accounting of certain disclosures, request confidential communications, request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures, and receive a paper copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices. You may also file a complaint with our office or with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services without retaliation.

Third-party services

We use a HIPAA-compliant patient portal for scheduling and telehealth visits, and embedded maps to help you find our office. Those services operate under their own privacy terms.
