About Us
Stepping Stone Medical and Psychiatry was founded to make high-quality psychiatric care accessible, unhurried and genuinely personal for families across Ohio.
Medical & psychiatry in West Chester, Ohio · Telehealth statewide
Stepping Stone Medical and Psychiatry is an outpatient psychiatric practice in the Beckett Center area of West Chester Township, Ohio. We were founded by Dr. Philip Ofori-Yentumi, DNP, PMHNP and Juliana Abigail Badu, APRN, FNP-C on a simple belief: mental health care should feel human. People come to us at difficult moments — after a long stretch of anxiety, a change in mood, a struggle with focus at school or work, or a relapse in recovery — and they deserve a provider who has time to understand what is actually happening.
We care for children ages six and older, teens, adults and seniors. Our services span psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, medication management, supportive and motivational therapy, substance abuse maintenance treatment, and telehealth visits for anyone located in Ohio. When longer-term therapy or a higher level of care is the right fit, we coordinate the referral rather than leaving you to navigate it alone.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, so care fits around school and work. Most major Ohio insurance plans are accepted, and benefits are verified before your first visit.

Our Values
Every visit begins with listening. You will never be rushed through your story or reduced to a diagnosis code.
Treatment plans follow current psychiatric research and are adjusted with careful monitoring and measurement.
Sleep, medical history, relationships, culture and work all shape mental health — so all of it belongs in the conversation.
Evening appointments, telehealth across Ohio and most major insurance plans keep care within reach.
