Answers
Insurance and billing questions
What insurance does Stepping Stone Medical and Psychiatry accept?
We accept most major Ohio plans, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicaid managed care plans, Medicare and UnitedHealthcare. Because networks change, we verify your specific plan before your first appointment.
How do I find out what my visit will cost?
Call 513-342-0853 with your insurance card handy. We check your behavioral health benefits, including co-pay, deductible and any prior-authorization requirement, and tell you what to expect before you are seen.
Do you offer self-pay rates?
Yes. Patients without coverage, or with an out-of-network plan, can pay directly. Contact the office for current self-pay rates for evaluations and follow-up visits.
When is my payment due?
All co-payments are due at the time of your appointment. We accept major credit and debit cards and health savings account cards.
Is telehealth covered the same as an office visit?
Most Ohio plans cover behavioral telehealth at the same rate as in-person care. We confirm telehealth benefits during verification.
What is the cancellation fee?
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, and appointments missed or joined more than 15 minutes late, are subject to a $50 fee that insurance does not cover.
